Elmo: I’m a little late on this one but I thought I’ll share my thoughts about Obama’s inauguration yesterday.
Over here in Germany the inauguration of the 44th President gained a lot of attention. Not only from the media but from regular people as myself as well. I watched the whole ceremony and must say I was very impressed by the huge masses of people in Washington as well as from Barack H. Obama’s speech.
I think he addressed the existing problems in the world well and spread a lot of hope for the upcoming years especially in “hard” times like these.
Thankfulls nothing bad happened yesterday and the first “change” has happened. “The White House” got a blog now. Lol.
The funniest part of the ceremony was probably the moment where Chief Justice John Roberts misread the oath twice.

Elmo: This is probably not of interest for everybody but since I’m a student of political science I thought I’ll post it.
In case you always wondered how Barack Obama raised stunning $500 Million online let me tell you. The next President had over 3 Million people giving money to his campaign via the web. His team recorded over 6.5 Million donations throughout his run for president. The average online donation was $80.

Elmo: I’ve always been a big fan of Southpark. On Wednesday the latest episode was aired and guess what?! Barack Obama and John McCain were the topic. Just a few more words about the episode: It won’t quite happen what you might expect. I was laughing a lot. You must watch this for sure.

Elmo: Who would have thought this 20 years ago? A black man is finally President of the United States of America. At this point congratulations to Mr. Barack Obama and his entourage.
As my personal favorite I’m very happy to see him as the 44th President even as an non-american. I think with his charisma and his strong mind he’ll have a big impact not only in America but also in the rest of the world.
I hope and wish that their will be a better and closer together throughout the globe.

Cheers

Elmo: One day till the world will know if Barack Obama aka “Mr. Change” or John McCain aka “The Plumber” will be the next President of the United States of America.
A lot of artist have contributed to either campaign and one of the best contributes from the music industry is a joint called “Change gone come” by Charles Hamilton, Asher Roth and B.O.B. It isn’t exactly a song about politics but rather about change in general.
Check it: Change gone come

Elmo: The presidential election is just two days away and the race might be closer than one expected. The polls aren’t all clear. Some see Obama ahead by only a few points other predict a huge margin between him and John McCain.
From my feelings Barack Obama should be the clear winner but back in 2000 most people didn’t see George W. Bush ahead either.
On Nov. 4th we all will know more. I will be certainly awake this Tuesday and watch the election.
To my friends overseas, do yourself a favor and go out and vote.

Elmo: John McCain won the election against Barack Obama by a single vote. And who’s fault is that? Elvis! That’s the story line of a very funny video published by Moveon.Org. See what happens if John McCain really wins. (lol)

William: 30 Reasons is a cool project which combines illustration and politics for a effective 1-2-punch. It works like this, every day there’s a new poster to support Barack Obama and his campaign. If you haven’t already definitely visit the site to view the posters. Oh yea, before I forget, make sure to vote on November 4th all you people in the US. Vote for Change.
